Taktu þátt í að búa til skilti fyrir mótmæli gegn hvalveiðum
þann 24. mars fyrir framan Alþingishúsið!
Reykjavík Whale Save skipuleggur mótmæli eftir að sjávarútvegsráðherra Kristján Þór Júlíusson samþykkti áframhaldandi veiðar á langreyði og hrefnu til ársins 2023.
Við viljum mótmæla með skiltum sem munu vekja athygli þingmanna, íslendinga, ferðamanna og fjölmiðla. Takmarkað magn af efni verður til staðar fyrir skiltagerð en vinsamlegast taktu með eigin efni (málning, tússpennar, viður, efni, osfrv.) ef þú hefur tök á því.

Join us in creating signs for the Anti-Whaling protest on the 24th of
March in front of the parliament!
After the Minister of Fisheries Kristján Þór Júlíusson has approved the hunting of fin whales and minke whales until 2023, Reykjavík Whale Save will organise an Anti-whaling protest on the 24th of March in front of the parliament.
For the protest we need to make signs and banners that will attract the attention of governors, locals and tourists, as well as the media. A limited amount of materials for the signs will be available, but please bring your own materials (paint, markers, wood, fabric, etc.) if you can.
Accessibility:
The event is accessible for people with disabilities, however it is not wheelchair accessible due to the stairs leading to the entrance and the basement.
There is a step before the garden gate and then 5 steps leading to the main entrance, each 17 cm high, door widths in the building vary between 50 cm (upstairs washroom door) and 80 cm (entrance door), and the washrooms are so far only on the upper floor and in the basement. The door to the meeting room is 75 cm wide (as most other doors in the building).
Both washrooms in the building are gender neutral.
