A buffer zone, when applied to conservation, is a land area let to rest from human activity, in an effort to let its natural biodiversity replenish, and recover from the overuse of its resources.
So that’s what Midweek Buffer Zone is about: creating an excuse to gather with people, switch off one’s phone, sit or lie down, and use the group energy to write a letter to a friend, read a book, draw, paint, knit, or close one’s eyes and relax. In essence, to do another small reset, in case the weekend was not long enough to allow such a thing.
What I can offer to support this is a live ambient soundscape, that will cover – or enhance – the natural noise that silently active people produce.
Doors open at 17:30, and the music goes from 18:00 till 20:00 – if you are to arrive later or leave earlier that’s fine, but remember that low noise is the target here. Come with what you want to spend your time doing, and as FRAKTAL Reykjavík is still filling up with more furniture, you can bring a wee cushion or a blanket, depending on the coziness that you are targeting. If you arrive early enough, there is two tables available!
Donations are welcome, and you can find Fraktal crowdfunding on KarolinaFund!
