The workshop will be facilitated by Greta Lietuvninkaite – a published writer with a degree in psychology.
In this workshop day, hosted by SEEDS Iceland long term volunteers, we learn why it is important to be aware of what power lies in the photographic documentation of events and people, the philosophy behind photography and how to photograph in black and white. Moreover, we learn how to do visual storytelling.
Talking to people from different cultures can be tricky. Sometimes, we don’t understand each other because of language differences or different ways we express ourselves without words. Our cultures affect how we talk and share information. Stereotypes can also get in the way. In this workshop day, hosted by SEEDS Iceland long term volunteers, we learn about different cultures, listen carefully, and be open to new ways of communicating.
SEEDS Iceland, established in 2005, is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to fostering intercultural understanding and environmental awareness through projects in Iceland. Collaborating with local communities and international volunteers, SEEDS has organized nearly 8000 projects, focusing on environmental conservation, cultural activities, and education initiatives.
