This will be a practice session for those interested in playing folk music. It’s aimed at those with some ability on their own acoustic instruments, but who don’t yet play traditional music or would like to learn more. We’ll usually mention a tune to prepare beforehand that we’ll go through together with someone who knows it well.
The event is only really accessible to those who can already play a little bit of music and have their own instrument (or can borrow one), but that should be the limit.

Starfsemin í Andrými hefur verið mjög öflug síðustu vikur og allskonar hópar, viðburðir og hugmyndir fengið að dafna og prófa sig áfram í rýminu. Andrými lifir á frjálsum framlögum sem gera það mögulegt að bjóða upp á opið, frítt og frjálst rými. Sunnudaginn 17. desember verður kökubasar í Andrými þar sem tækifæri gefst til að næla sér í ýmist góðgæti og styrkja okkur í leiðinni! Þú getur gripið með þér heilu kökurnar til að bjóða upp á næst þegar vinir koma í heimsókn eða fengið þér staka kökusneið með kaffinu til að maula á staðnum. Þú getur einnig komið með köku sem framlag! Ef þú kemst ekki en vilt endilega leggja okkur lið, þá er velkomið að millifæra.

Cake Bazaar to raise money for Andrými.
Andrými has been very active the last weeks and various groups, events and ideas have gotten the space to flourish. Donations are what keeps Andrými alive and make it possible to offer an open and free space. Sunday 17th of December there will be a cake bazaar in Andrými where you’ll have the opportunity to get something sweet and support us at the same time! You can get yourself a whole cake to offer next time you have visitors or you can get a slice to have with your coffee on the spot. You can also bring a cake as a donation! If you can’t make it but would like to support us you’re welcome to do a bank transfer. Regular monthly donations are our favorite as they give us a certain stability.

Come along with an open mind to our vigil/ movie night to mark International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers.
Learn something new and remember lives lost due to violence and discrimination sex workers face both at work and from the police.

This Tuesday Andrymi is hosting two amazing hairdressers with long time experience, who have decided to contribute their time and trim and layer for a good cause!
Come, get your hair done and ready before the holiday break, experiment or just play it as usual.
All the fundraised money will go for sustaining Andrymi, so if you feel that it is worth to have a non – commercial community space downtown and wanted to get a new haircut – hesitate no more!

This event is for everybody, no matter if you celebrate Christmas or not. It’s anyways time to celebrate solstice, good company, hot chocolate, tasty meals and the existence of a radical social space in Reykjavík.
The kitchen crew will provide some food (from around 13.00) and we also want to encourage those who can to bring a meal to share -> It’s a potluck ❤
We open the doors at 11 and families are especially welcome. There will be vegan waffles and hot chocolate.
At around 13.00 the potluck will start and we will have lunch together.
Afterwards you can chose to stay and be cosy, maybe watch a movie and enjoy the great view of Tjörnin from the windows of Andrými.
