Þjóðlög samspilasæfing // Traditional Music Beginner’s Session
Mar 1 @ 16:00 – 18:00

This will be a practice session for those interested in playing folk music. It’s aimed at those with some ability on their own acoustic instruments, but who don’t yet play traditional music or would like to learn more. We’ll usually mention a tune to prepare beforehand that we’ll go through together with someone who knows it well.
The event is only really accessible to those who can already play a little bit of music and have their own instrument (or can borrow one), but that should be the limit.
Andrými is unfortunately not currently wheelchair accessible.

From the Greek streets
Mar 9 @ 19:00 – 23:00

From the Greek streets
Benefit night for anarchists in Greece.
This event is a benefit-event for anarchists arrested during the demonstration on the 6th of December 2017 in Greece.
Benefit dinner will be served followed by a short presentation and discussions about the 6th of December demonstrations and riots, the ongoing prisoners struggle in Greece and the meaning of revolutionary solidarity.
……..
6 December 2008, 15 years old Alexis Grigoropoulos is shot point blank by cops in the neighborhood of Exarchia in Athens. The murder sparked a string of riots that spread like wildfire all over Greece and inspired solidarity actions and riots in more than 70 cities around the world. These events are now known as the Desember revolt. Every year on the 6th of December people take to the streets to commemorate the murder and the uprising and to continue the struggle against the oppressive mechnism of the State and capital. During this day we fight and defend our neighborhoods and spaces of resistance, our self-organized projects, the ground where we live, meet and organize to fight back. Nine years after the December revolt people still face the same murdeous institutions that want to control our lives according to their desire for profit and social control.
During times of economic and political destabilization, known by some as crisis – another word for the restructuring of society in favour of the capital and the state-, there were many that had hoped for and thought that a Syriza led left-wing government would save them. As was pointed out before and has now been confirmed, the government of Syriza has only continued the violent impositions of social policies that aims for the continoues flow of capital profit. With a “soft” approach to repression, always hiding themselfes behind the police institution, it has stepped up its efforts to flatten the resistance of thouse who are fighting by upgrading its legal arsenal (new prison and penal codes), detentions and violent beating of demonstrators. Hope will not save us, neither a leftist government, or any government for that matter. There is only our struggle and the relationships we build that can bring us closer to our goals.
Noting is over,everything continous.

Skiptimarkaður – Toys And Children’s Clothes Swap
Mar 18 @ 11:00 – 16:00

(English below) Við vitum að börnin okkar hætta aldrei að stækka, en föt, leikföng og bækur vaxa ekki með þeim. Þess vegna erum við að skipuleggja þennan skiptimarkaður fyrir barnaföt og leikföng. Hugmyndin er sú að þú leggir til þá hluti sem börnin þín þurfa ekki lengur og þú getur í staðinn tekið með þér heim það sem þú og börnin þín getið nýtt ykkur.
Reglurnar eru einfaldar:
1. Átt þú bækur, skó, föt, leikföng eða eitthvað annað sem börnin þín þurfa ekki lengur? Vinsamlegast komdu með það/þessa hluti, helst flokkaða eftir stærð.
2. Fannst þú eitthvað sem þú vilt fyrir börnin þín? Þú ert velkomin að taka það heim!
3. Eigðu góðar stundir með góðum félagsskap!
Með því að mæta með föt eða leikföng til skiptanna tryggjum við að gömlu hlutirnir þínir komi til nýrra eigenda, annaðhvort hjá öðrum gestum eða Rauða Krossinum. Við athugum ekki eða teljum það sem þú tekur með, þér er frjálst að koma með eins mikið eða lítið og þú vilt.
Upplýsingar um aðgengi er að finna á www.andrymi.org

//
We know our children never stop growing but clothes, toys and books don’t grow with them. That’s why we organise this swap event for children’s clothes and toys. The idea is that you bring the stuff that your kids don’t need anymore and you can take home the things you and your children like and can make use of.
The rules are simple:
1. Do you have books, shoes, clothes, toys or anything else that your children don’t need anymore? Please, bring them, ideally organised by size.
2. Do you find something you like for your kids? Feel free to take it!
3. Spend some quality time with good friends and like-minded people, and above all have fun!
By attending this event you will make sure that your old items find new owners, either other swappers or the Red Cross. We don’t check or count what you bring, just take what you like.
You can find info about accessibility on www.andrymi.org
