Talking to people from different cultures can be tricky. Sometimes, we don’t understand each other because of language differences or different ways we express ourselves without words. Our cultures affect how we talk and share information. Stereotypes can also get in the way. In this workshop day, hosted by SEEDS Iceland long term volunteers, we learn about different cultures, listen carefully, and be open to new ways of communicating.
SEEDS Iceland, established in 2005, is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to fostering intercultural understanding and environmental awareness through projects in Iceland. Collaborating with local communities and international volunteers, SEEDS has organized nearly 8000 projects, focusing on environmental conservation, cultural activities, and education initiatives.
Activities:
– Environment: There will be a talk about why it is important to clean the streets, the city and the beach.
– Street art: There will be a workshop about street art in the world and in Reykjavik.
Spaces:
– Kitchen
– Large room with video beam
This is a private SEEDS event.
Thank you very much.
