The building is currently not wheelchair accessible, unfortunately, but it is our top priority to cultivate a wheelchair accessible space. This is a continuing goal of the organizers of Andrými.

1/ We are gladly inviting you to our second Photography Matinee where we are going to screen a very interesting and inspiring movie:
> “For the last 40 years, the photographer Sebastião Salgado has been traveling through the continents, in the footsteps of an ever-changing humanity. He has witnessed some of the major events of our recent history; international conflicts, starvation and exodus. He is now embarking on the discovery of pristine territories, of wild fauna and flora, and of grandiose landscapes as part of a huge photographic project, which is a tribute to the planet’s beauty. Sebastião Salgado’s life and work are revealed to us by his son, Juliano, who went with him during his last travels, and by Wim Wenders, himself a photographer. (C) Sony Classics”
2/ For everyone who wants to stick around after the Movie Matinee, there will be the monthly photography gathering:
We would like to invite you all photography lovers (analog and digital), aspiring photographers and pro, to our monthly gathering at Andrými.
The idea is to have a place where photographers of any type can share their knowledge/work once a month with a bunch of other camera lovers.
This month’s theme is “Abstraction”.
We encourage you to get some new shots in the next weeks or to look into your archive of pics and bring a couple of images, no matter the format. The aim of this exercise is to exchange opinions, points of view and share our knowledge.
Also, regardless the assignment, feel free to bring any material, gear etc. with you. Doubts, questions, ideas or thoughts for next meetings are very welcome as well.
See you there!

It is 10 years and 11 months since Haukur Hilmarsson and Jason Slade ran on the runway trying to stop the deportation of Paul Ramses. It was the spark that started the movement and this year the fire lit up again as the Refugees in Iceland took to Austurvöllur and started a week long occupation amidst the blazing snow – fighting for recognition as human beings.
It has been 4 months of actions now and despite the Immigration Office deporting the people involved – the struggle doesn´t stop!
This Friday No Borders Iceland will organise another rave/party to support the case of refugees fighting for human treatment, dignity and normal life on the island. Come, dance around, chill in the vegetable garden and support a good cause!
We will have DJs, refreshments, food, good vibes. Everyone welcome!
THE NAME SAYS KÓSY, BUT REST ASSURED – THERE IS SPACE FOR ALL, NO MATTER THE BACKGROUND! Let your friends know!
SUGGESTED ENTRY DONATION:
500 to 3000 ISK, but no one will be turned away – just let us know at the entrance if you cannot/don´t want to pay!
All the profit is used for getting lawyers, transportation, safety network for the refugees in Iceland.
We will also have some T-shirts, badges and other small things that you can get for a donation, if you wanted to show extra solidarity.
If you cannot come, but would like to support the cause financially – you can always transfer to:

Lucky you! We are starting again the Open House Weekends every Sunday from 12 to 3pm. During that time someone from the community will be there to show you around the space, answer the possible doubts and of course have some tea, cofee and snacks.
If you feel like participating in some workshop (artistic, communicative, playing games…) please share it with us and we can arrange it.
Families, curious, activists, open minded people… you all are very welcome!
See you soon.
