Nov 12 @ 19:00 – 22:00

An independently organised event.

Come and support Chile!

Tuesday nov. 12th, at 19hrs

In Chile, people are manifesting because of the unfairness of a system that comes from Pinochet´s dictatorship 30 years ago and nowadays has the most expensive cost of living in Latin America; privatized water, health, education, and pensions for old people that makes unbearable to survive. It´s not only because of the rise of the Metro fare. That is just the tip of the iceberg.
Chile has been ranked with the most unequal economy (more than UK, Mexico or US).

From a peaceful country let´s bring into the spotlight the violation of human rights currently happening in Chile.

PRIVILEGE – RESPONSIBILITY

There will be a presentation followed by discussions.

Eviction of Liebig34 in Berlin – fight for anarcha&queer-feminist spaces!
Nov 13 @ 20:30 – 22:00

Liebig 34 is an anarcha-queer-feminist and selforganized house-project in East Berlin (Friedrichshain). Since 1990, the house hosts numerous collectives; at the moment the separate collectives infoladen „Daneben“, the event space L34-Bar and the anarcha-queer-feminist living-project (without cis men).

The date of the trial for the legal enforcement of the eviction is on November 15th, 2019. On the blog liebig34.blogsport.de can be found a statement about the current situation: The owner “wants to snitch away the house, while the politicians are trying to keep our mouths shut. Both parties are awaiting a final court decision. We do not let any cis-men decide about the future of our anarcha-queer-feminist project, cause simply no one should decide about us, but ourselves.”

What does it mean if such a safer space is evicted?
We like to discuss this question with you, connect past and ongoing struggles and learn from the exchange of experiences.

Some may decide to support this struggle directly there. But not everyone can or wants to travel to support. Still, there is possibilities to support: The house apprechiates explicitely soli-action, soli-events, soli-money, soli-expressions and whatever comes to your minds, from everywhere.

So we invite you to the info event for updates about the current situation, and to exchange and discuss how to support 34 in their struggle!

Further we will present the Liebig34 based project “CosyColdCaféTalks” which deals with the topic Radical Softness and read texts of the blog cosycoldkitchentalks.noblogs.org linked with it.
Additionally we requested a video with impressions from the house.

All genders welcome!

The building is currently not wheelchair accessible.

Theatre of the Oppressed – group meeting and practice
Nov 14 @ 20:00 – 22:00

The last week workshop proved to build an interest for the participants to continue work with Theatre of the Oppressed tools (event here: https://www.facebook.com/events/423418055220827/ ) . So I propose to not let our muscles forget what we’ve learned, let’s meet this week!

Thursday, 14th of November, at 20.00 we will meet and practice some Forum Theatre games, exercises and plays. Please let me know if you’ll come – so I can prepare for how many we will be. I think 10 places, up to 12 will be the maximum, in order to have space to move and time to get in depth with the forums.

People that did not attended the workshop before are welcome, but I’ll kindly ask you to write an email before to aniclujro@gmail.com to be sure that there will be space. Previous experience with theatre is welcome, but not necessary. Theatre of the Oppressed is build as an inclusive play space and the experiences of every day life are the best practice each person will come with.

This is the beginning of a learning process of Theatre of the Oppressed tools. After some sessions of practice together we can think of how this experiences can go out of the workshop set-up.

/// FREE ADMISSION ///

The workshop will be held in English, but if needed, translation will be managed on the spot.

/////////////////////

Theatre of the Oppressed (TO) is a range of techniques, games and exercises, using embodied narrative to support the empowerment and liberation of individuals and their communities. The approach was developed by Augusto Boal in South America, and has since been used all over the world in the building of community, to dynamize social engagement, and to support individuals to realise their creative potential for personal and social transformation.

Forum Theatre is one of the forms of TO that uses a theatre play to confront an audience with a problem. The audience is then asked to engage with the problem by coming up on stage to propose different actions for the characters.

Theatre of the Oppressed is a rehearsal for life and the revolution.
