Exploring What Matters – 8 week course // Hvað skiptir okkur raunverulega máli? – 8 vikna námskeið
Sep 26 @ 18:00 – 20:00

(English below)

“Hvað skiptir okkur raunverulega máli?” er einstakt og hvetjandi 8 vikna námskeið þar sem við skoðum hvað það þýðir að lifa hamingjusömu og innihaldsríku lífi. Námskeiðið byggir á nýjustu rannsóknum á hamingju og er ætlað öllum þeim sem hafa áhuga á að auka eigin hamingju og byggja upp jákvæðara og betra samfélag. Í hvert skipti er unnið með eitt þema sem byggir á einni spurningu, svo sem: Hvað virkilega skiptir okkur máli? Hvað gerir okkur hamingjusöm? og: Hvernig eigum við að koma fram við aðra?

// The Action for Happiness course is a unique and inspiring 8-week course to explore what matters for a happy and meaningful life. The course is based on the latest scientific evidence and is intended for people of all backgrounds, particularly those who would like to see a more positive and caring society. Each session has a theme, based on a ‘big question’, such as: What really matters in life? What actually makes us happy? And: How should we treat others?

Accessibility:

Anyone over 18 is welcome.

There is a step before the garden gate and then 5 steps leading to the main entrance, each 17 cm high, door widths in the building vary between 50 cm (upstairs washroom door) and 80 cm (entrance door).

The bathrooms are so far only on the upper floor and in the basement. The door to the meeting room is 75 cm wide (as most other doors in the building). There is no bathroom on the ground floor. The event takes place on the ground floor.

Fræðslufundir VÍ í haust 2019 / Permaculture info meeting / Video night
Sep 26 @ 20:00 – 22:00

Haustið er komið og Vistræktarfélag Íslands stefnir að fræðslufundum fyrir veturinn. Við verðum með 3 dagsetningar fyrir jól:

26.9. kl. 20: Bíókvöld
Við ætlum að horfa á myndina “Inhabit – A Permaculture Perspective” og hafa svo rólega stund saman eftir á fyrir þá sem vilja.

Workshop: Collective playwriting || Documentary Theater || Working Changes
Sep 28 @ 11:00 – 18:00

An independently organized event

This event is a playwriting workshop in which participants will learn to develop a text based on personal experiences drawn from their work/work-related issues/dreams for their work. We will explore concepts such as memory, desire, change and propaganda. We will use the tools of documentary theatre: interviews, storytelling, fictionalization and research, in an attempt to democratize art and make artistic practices accessible to all.

This workshop is part of the documentary theatre project „Working Changes”, initiated by Ani Mărincean. This process of playwriting is based on interviews, workshops and gathering collective imaginaries around the subject of work. The final product aims to be a collectively-produced theatre show – participants at this workshop can join the process if they feel like.

THE WORKSHOP WILL TAKE PLACE:

28–29th of September

11:00 – 18:00 both days (food and breaks will be included)

andrymi, Bergþórugata 20, RKV

Please SUBSCRIBE by 26th of September by sending an email to aniclujro@gmail.com

/// FREE ADMISSION ///

The workshop will be held in English, but if needed, translation will be managed on the spot.

Theatre that moves me most is one that speaks about our society in courageous ways. I believe that all theatre is political. All art is political. I propose to get to know political theatre, documentary theatre and theatre based on personal his/her/their-stories while writing texts out of our own experiences, and to use the stage as our public square.
