An independently organized event by the Darkroom Collective.

1/ We are gladly inviting you to our second Photography Matinee where we are going to screen a very interesting and inspiring movie:

> “For the last 40 years, the photographer Sebastião Salgado has been traveling through the continents, in the footsteps of an ever-changing humanity. He has witnessed some of the major events of our recent history; international conflicts, starvation and exodus. He is now embarking on the discovery of pristine territories, of wild fauna and flora, and of grandiose landscapes as part of a huge photographic project, which is a tribute to the planet’s beauty. Sebastião Salgado’s life and work are revealed to us by his son, Juliano, who went with him during his last travels, and by Wim Wenders, himself a photographer. (C) Sony Classics”

2/ For everyone who wants to stick around after the Movie Matinee, there will be the monthly photography gathering:
We would like to invite you all photography lovers (analog and digital), aspiring photographers and pro, to our monthly gathering at Andrými.

The idea is to have a place where photographers of any type can share their knowledge/work once a month with a bunch of other camera lovers.

This month’s theme is “Abstraction”.

We encourage you to get some new shots in the next weeks or to look into your archive of pics and bring a couple of images, no matter the format. The aim of this exercise is to exchange opinions, points of view and share our knowledge.

Also, regardless the assignment, feel free to bring any material, gear etc. with you. Doubts, questions, ideas or thoughts for next meetings are very welcome as well.

See you there!

Accessibility:

The building is currently not wheelchair accessible, unfortunately, but it is our top priority to cultivate a wheelchair accessible space. This is a continuing goal of the organizers of Andrými.

There is a step before the garden gate and then 5 steps leading to the main entrance, each 17 cm high, door widths in the building vary between 50 cm (upstairs washroom door) and 80 cm (entrance door), and the washrooms are so far only on the upper floor and in the basement. The door to the meeting room is 75 cm wide (as most other doors in the building). The event takes place on the ground floor.

Both washrooms in the building are gender neutral.
