EN:
We would like to invite you to a free two-day WenDo workshop – a method of preventing gender-based violence.
WenDo – self-defence, confidence-building, assertiveness for women and trans people. The workshop will be held in Polish.
WenDo translated means “Way of Women” (from English “women” and Japanese “do”). A method developed by women for women that combines physical and mental self-defence methods.
During the workshop, participants learn how to respond to psychological and physical violence, how to take care of their boundaries and how to respond to their violation, and strengthen their sense of agency, self-esteem and self-confidence. WenDo is about working with voice, breath and beliefs about debunking gender stereotypes.
Do you want to feel your power, experience your physical strength, release your breath and voice, regain your sense of influence and agency and experience togetherness and solidarity from with other women and trans people?
If so, that means WenDo is for you. WenDo teaches simple and effective techniques for self-defence and better recognition of threatening situations and boundary crossing. Bring comfortable clothes and shoes, and get down to work. The workshop will take place as part of the project “Moc w przemoc”, implemented within the Active Citizens Programme National Fund in partnership with Slagtog.
The workshop will take place on 29-30 April 2023 .
PLACE: Andrými, Bergþórugata 20, 101 Reykjavík.
TIME: 10:00 – 16:00
